What are we looking for?

We are looking for a motivated Marketing Coordinator who can support our marketing team with content, events, product launches, and more. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing startup and start building your career.

This role is based in Madrid, with 2-3 days per week (or more, if desired) in our Madrid office.

What you’ll do in this role

As a Marketing Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to support a number of initiatives across the marketing team:

  • Coordinate logistics for small events, webinars, and campaigns to ensure seamless operations.
  • Learn to lead event planning, manage booth presence, and oversee on-site staff.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and develop new event and campaign opportunities.
  • Manage event budgets and expenses, and track ROI effectively.
  • Assist in negotiating event sponsorships and contracts.
  • Craft marketing copy and support our Product Marketing team in writing collateral for our sales team and product launches, such as case studies, white papers, and videos.
  • Experiment with promotions and other outreach strategies pre- and post-event, leveraging product features and benefits to drive engagement.
  • Build and maintain our Google Drive repository with sales assets, gathering feedback from our sales team on how we can best support them

This role presents a unique opportunity to transition into broader marketing responsibilities, including product marketing. As you excel in event coordination and demonstrate a deep understanding of Tinybird's products and market landscape, you will have the chance to contribute to product launches, market positioning strategies, and customer engagement initiatives.

That sounds like a lot, and it is. We’re an early-stage startup, and pace and quality of execution are paramount to our success. We understand that startups aren’t for everyone, and that’s okay. As we say at Tinybird, “Speed Wins.” We don’t dither in endless meetings. We execute, analyze our performance, and adjust going forward.

 Requirements for this role

  • C2 (native or equivalent) English language proficiency is required
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Information Science or a technical field
  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Exceptional writer and communicator; loves telling stories
  • Analytical mindset, with the proven ability to interpret data and metrics
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, solve problems, and adhere to budgets.
  • Creative thinker recognized for generating innovative ideas.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and is willing to travel as required (up to 25%).
  • Experience using Google Docs and Slack, and ideally HubSpot as well
  • Passionate about nerd culture and eager to learn about developers

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) are essential to building an effective organization. Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every one of the qualifications in a job description. Our top priority is finding the best candidate for the job. If you are interested in the position, we encourage you to apply, even if you don’t believe you meet every one of the qualifications listed in this posting.
